Po Leung Kuk Camões Tan Siu Lin Primary School
Our school was previously known as Portuguese Community Schools, Inc., Escola Camões. It was established in the 1950s by the Portuguese Community Education and Welfare Foundation Incorporated. Since 1996, the school has been run by Po Leung Kuk. In 1999, it was re-named as Po Leung Kuk Camões Tan Siu Lin Primary School. Since 2000/2001, our school has become the pioneer DSS primary school in Hong Kong. Developing children's potential to the fullest is an overriding aim of our school. Education is about nurturing the whole child - our school embraces development of the child in the moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic spheres. Our school is committed to providing a caring, harmonious and stimulating environment where children are joyful and secure enough to be able to work to the best of their ability. We are a co-educational DSS English primary school with about 1,000 vibrant young learners aged 6-12. Under a multi-cultural atmosphere and rich language environment, our students love to learn, explore and play. Our goal is to equip students with the abilities needed to meet the challenges of the future. We strive to cultivate them to be confident, independent and persevering students with a growth mindset. At our school, we provide a safe, diverse and stimulating environment conducive to our students who are groomed to achieve their full potential. In addition, we prepare our students to be global citizens by providing them with opportunities to widen their horizons.
