Singapore International School
Singapore International School (Hong Kong) [SISHK] was established in 1991 offering then only preparatory years and primary education. Today, however, backed by the strong support of the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE), SISHK now offers a Singapore-styled, through-train education programme from preparatory years to pre-university levels. To prepare our students for the challenges of an ever-changing world, our student-centric, values-driven holistic education aims to help our students harness the joy of learning, strengthen their character, encourage active citizenry, nurture an entrepreneurial dare and develop their skills and abilities for innovation and future learning. Everything we do revolves around our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Care and Harmony (3RICH). While we help our students lay strong foundations in the acquisition of knowledge, skills and values, they are also encouraged to go beyond the classroom and apply their learning to real world contexts. We guide our students to understand the interconnectedness across subjects and see the relation between what they learn in school and the real world. Our students are given the freedom to explore and discover their interests and abilities, which motivate and inspire them to learn for life. They are encouraged to be inquisitive and use their imagination to draw on their creativity and seek solutions to real world problems. Our school also prepares our students to create value for others and contribute positively to the community which we are a part of. The SISHK family is considerably enriched by the diverse backgrounds of our students and their families. There are currently over 1,500 students in the school with 20 different nationalities. As a non-selective and inclusive school, many of our students join us in their preparatory years and stay on with the school to complete their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with outstanding results. Today, many of our alumni are studying at or are graduates of prestigious universities around the world. Our teachers are dedicated professionals who will always go the extra mile for their students. They come from all around the world and several including the school leaders are seconded from Singapore MOE.
